EMPOWERING GIRLZ

WHEN GIRLS FEEL EMPOWERED, THEY ARE ABLE TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL AND MAKE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE WORLD AROUND THEM.

By fostering an inclusive and empowering environment that values diversity and promotes equal access to education and resources, we can help unleash the full potential of girls and empower them to pursue their dreams and make a positive impact on the world.

HOW WE INVEST IN OUR GIRLZ

Staff, volunteers and our youth participate in youth program quality and mentor trainings.

The Forum for Youth Investment -Youth Program Quality Initiative

Young people need to feel safe and supported in order to learn and lead. As a crucial part of the Forum’s mission to change the odds that young people are ready for college, work, and life, the Weikart Center helps out-of-school time (OST) systems build the safe, supportive, interactive, and engaging environments that are foundational to youth development.

MENTOR Virginia- Program Quality in Mentoring Relationships

MENTOR Virginia is proud to be an Affiliate of MENTOR National, a national nonprofit whose mission is to fuel the quality and quantity of mentoring relationships for America’s young people and close the mentoring gap for one in three youth who want and need a mentor.

Virginia Sexual and Domestic Action Alliance -Advocating for Healthy Relationships.

We are a non-profit network of survivors, Sexual and Domestic Violence Agencies, and allies working to strengthen how communities across Virginia respond to and prevent sexual and intimate partner violence.

VHBG Therapeutic Resources -Youth Mental Health

Education program which introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents builds an understanding of the importance of early intervention and teaches individuals how to help an adolescent in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge.
