2026 R.E.A.L Girlz of the YEAR

Jocelyn Sanderson
CONGRATULATIONS to Jocelyn Sanderson on receiving the 2026 R.E.A.L. Girlz of the Year!
This is Jocelyn's first year in the Mentor and Leadership Academy; however, she is not new to the R.E.A.L Girlz family. She has participated in our SumHER Experience for three years.
This R.E.A.L Girlz is everyone’s friend, never complains during sessions and communicates with everyone. Whenever she is asked to do a task, she doesn’t hesitate to step up to the plate.
She also used her voice interview with Destini Harris of channel 12 news.
She shares activity suggestions and communicates in a respectful manner.
A perfect example of being RESPONSIBLE, EMPOWERED and LOVED was at our "A New Me" Hair Event when she pitched in and became one of our braiders!
She has participated in 95% of our sessions and spent three of her spring break days as a R.E.A.L Girlz through a media interview, a career experience at Chester Career College and high school day at Hampton University.
Even though this was a unanimous decision with the staff, what really solidified it was when she asked to be a part of the program to share something special for the seniors.
